 Jasmine Reese Contemporary Literacies Professor Rosen Injustice When we speak of injustice, there are many ways that injustice can ruin a person's life.   From society’s perspective the unjust behaviors from law enforcement have sparked major controversy. Across the United States, many interactions between law enforcement and citizens end fatally due to the excessive force by law enforcement. These behaviors are typically aimed toward minorities. Injustice presents itself when there are unfair outcomes in solving crime. Injustice has various forms which are wrongful convictions, police brutality, and more. Why does the system continue to fail us citizens? The system can be corrupt and even biased. As a result, it becomes personal as it interferes with the way our justice system operates in order to prevent and stop crime. How can we put our trust into our legal system if they continue to fail us citizens in all aspects. The justice system fails citizens by victimizing them. Many people fall victim to the justice system from police brutality, wrongful convictions, and stereotyping. There were many incidents in which we placed our trust and protection into the hands of law enforcement for situations to end tragically. Unfortunately, there are many factors that influence these struggles and strain one of which being race. Race is such a beautiful aspect when it comes to life because there are so many people who come from different walks of life and beautiful places.
